How long do I wait to see results from liposuction?
I had liposuction performed on my upper and lower abdomen and also my flanks about 4 days ago. The day after I took off my bandages and was amazed, my stomach looked flat, and I couldn’t be happier. The next day the swelling went down and the following day the swelling went down more and now the results have changed. It looks the same way that it did before I got surgery. Is it just swelling that occurred after the surgery? Should I be concerned? Will it go away? I did my research and found the best plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills and best reputation and I am just so scared that I will see no difference/results. Also I have resumed all my normal activities, maybe I have been over doing it and I should just rest to keep the pain to a minimum and maybe make swelling disappear?

It can take 6-8 weeks to see a semi-final result from liposuction. Swelling early on can blur this result. Does your doctor have you in a compression garment? I like these for my patients. Talk to your doctor about your activity level too. I usually recommend light activity for a week or two afterward, but different surgeons vary on this.

From the information i read about liposuction, you are now experience swelling and some initial discomfort. All of this will subside with time. And depending on the amount of liposuction, it is advice that normal activity can only be continued 10 days to several weeks after the surgery
