I had my thighs, tummy & back (bra-line bulge) lipo’d over 10 yrs ago. It hurt like hell, especially the back, and I felt it came out lumpy. I understand that now they can zap the fat with ultra sound to liquify it & this makes for less lumpiness. I would definately recommend it, it’s worth the pain–take the pills, they don’t give medals for suffering unnecessarily!
Liposuction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.
Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
I had Power-Assisted Liposuction, or PAL, which my doctor had never used before. I personally feel my partner and I had more than our fair share of scar tissue for reasons still unknown to me, especially after the abdominal liposuction.
I was generally satisfied with the results of my liposuction surgery right except for the swelling. Today, the scar tissue is more apparent and although the shape is much more pleasing in clothing, I will not wear a bathing suit anymore.
I personally recommend that superficial fat not be touched, especially in those who are thin-skinned. Adhesions can be very apparent without a cushion of fat directly under the skin. Uneven fat cell removal on top of that make it for a bumpy, unsightly mess. Just be sure you choose your surgeon wisely, you choose a method he is proficient in, and get Endermologie for the fist three months (if your surgeon allows) to lessen the chances of scar tissue formation.
I do not ever think that liposuction ever becomes the sole answer to losing weight. However I do realize that it can be a fabulous tool for those who honestly have true genetic fat disposition which does not please them.
